Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Offro (“we”), for the Offro browser extension, the website getoffro.com and the service behind them (together, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Offro is a browser extension that helps you prepare for and take part in job interviews and meetings: live transcription and suggested answers, practice sessions, preparation material and reports. Some features use AI models and third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One free trial per person. Creating extra accounts to get more free credits isn’t allowed, and we may remove credits obtained that way.

3. Credits and payments

  • The service runs on prepaid credits. Prices and what each feature costs are on the Pricing page and in the extension before you buy or use something.
  • Credits don’t expire while your account exists. They have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged for money.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes such as VAT are added at checkout where they apply.
  • Free and bonus credits (welcome credits, invite rewards) can be changed or withdrawn, and free accounts have limits described on the Pricing page.
  • We may change prices for future purchases. Credits you already bought keep their value.

4. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

If you’re a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. When you buy credits, you ask us to make them available immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for credits you have already used. If something didn’t work as it should, contact us and we’ll put it right.

5. Using Offro responsibly

You agree to:

  • Tell people when you transcribe a call and get their consent where the law requires it. Offro only captures audio you choose to capture, but you are responsible for how you use it.
  • Follow the rules that apply to you: an employer’s or interviewer’s rules about tools, an exam’s or assessment’s rules, and your own employer’s policies for meetings.
  • Not use the service to break the law, harass anyone, or process other people’s data without a right to do so.
  • Not misuse the service: no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, no attempts to get around credits or limits, no automated or bulk use, and no interference with the service or other users.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where the breach isn’t serious, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

6. AI-generated content

Answers, prep material, feedback and reports are generated by AI from what you provide. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Check them before you rely on them; you decide what you say and send. Offro doesn’t guarantee any interview outcome, job offer or business result.

7. Your content

Your resume, notes, job details and transcripts stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Most of it stays on your own computer.

8. Our service

The extension, website, design and software are ours or our licensors’. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them under these terms. We work to keep the service available but can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. If we shut down the service, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and refund unused purchased credits.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on AI-generated content, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Offro at any time and ask us to delete your account. Purchased credits that remain when you delete your account are lost, unless the law requires a refund.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we’ll notify signed-in users before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the service and ask for a refund of unused purchased credits.

12. Law and disputes

If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts. The EU’s online dispute resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
